Question: What was that super cool book cover iPad cover David Fountain had and where can I get one?
Answer: Gifts for Him | Out of Print Clothing was where he got his, but it looks like they've discontinued them. Here is another site with lots of options: http://ebookfriendly.com/best-ipad-case-covers/

Question: Thanks for class today - learned lots of new things but need more! One question concerns emails - I have about 90 saved messages on my computer, but my phone is showing over 1700! My iPad is showing 475. I keep deleting them everywhere and deleting the trashed ones. Where are these big numbers coming from? I thought once I synced with computer, they would all be alike. What am I not doing? Thank you - and thanks again for class and great lunch.
Answer: Your question is a great one. Those messages are ones that were all on your server. Try going to Settings then Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then select the account with all the messages (if you only have one account, that is the one you will select). Scroll down to Advanced then go to Delete from server and change the setting to Seven days if you use multiple devices or When removed from Inbox if you use just one device. This will help with management of future messages.

During class, someone asked me what the moon icon was on the main control center - I was multitasking at the time and don't think I had an opportunity to respond with all of my brain. The moon icon is for "Do Not DIsturb" and the beauty of it is that you can set it for your sleeping hours. Mine, for example, would be 4am-5am. :) You can also make exceptions for certain contacts. It is an excellent feature!

Question: Learned more and still have questions. How do I ensure that emails read and deleted from Word 7 laptop, IPhone and IPad mini are synced so I can quit having to delete from each device? If you have a moment, call me in the am! I'm thirsty for more of your expertise!
Answer: If your provider is POP, you may want to consider using your @icloud or @me email on all devices. Go to your POP account from the web and forward emails from there to your @icloud or @me email. Then when an email arrives into your pop account, it will be automatically forwarded to your @me or @icloud account. From there it will go to all your apple devices. If you read it, it will be seen as read on all devices. If you reply, you will see your reply on all devices. If you delete, it will delete on all devices. Otherwise, if it is IMAP, it is handled at the server level and should automatically sync. I'll be offline until afternoon so let me know how your schedule is to call at a different time!

Question: Wow, you did an incredible job with such a crowd. I learn a lot from the questions of others. Carroll suggested I call the Apple help line to get my password straight. As soon as I am at home with my i-pad. I will. For some reason in the office mail sent appears to be blocked from my personal iPad. Need to check with our help desk? Ido enjoy the classes and wouldn't mind attending another.
Answer: Thank you for your kind words. Do you still have AppleCare on any of your devices? If so, Apple won't charge you. As for your email on your iPad, check your outgoing server settings and ensure they are accurate. Which email account are you having difficulty sending from? Go to Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then select the account and scroll down to outgoing mail server. Click the > next to your outgoing server, then click > again next to the specific outgoing server to get to the settings.

If you don't want to do that, you can set your embarqmail address as an IMAP. You can do so by going into Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars then select the account. Next, change your incoming mail server to mail.centurylink.net and outgoing as Port 993 then select SSL.
