Thanks
to all the instructors, course directors, and department heads who
participated in this
study. Your support and encouragement helped make this project a
success. This project site will be frequently updated, so please
check back often to see the latest information. The
statistical analysis and results will be available in the next couple of
weeks.
There were a total of 784 subjects in the
study including some duplicates of cadets enrolled in more than one
participating course. 5 of these subjects did not complete informed consent forms. Of the remaining 779 cases, 56 declined to
participate, resulting in a
92.9% participation rate.

about future instructional strategies to supplement your course materials are

 | SDLRS Surveys: The
self-directed learning readiness surveys (called Learning Preference
Assessment to the cadets) were distributed
electronically to 100 control and 100 experimental group participants.
The cadets completed the survey in the beginning and the end of the
semesters in a pre-test/ post-test design. |
 | Motivational Strategies: Strategies
were rolled out to 12 courses- PE210, EN102, MA104,
PL100, CH101A, EN302, HI302, CH102, PL 300, CS105, CS383, and CH384.
There were 645+ cadet accesses to the strategies where cadets
also completed online post-strategy surveys. The comments by
cadets were predominantly positive. Also preliminary results
show positive correlations with cadets who passed the WPPWE and those
who utilized the strategies. |
 | Motivation
Surveys: Instructional
Materials Motivation Surveys (IMMS) and Course Interest Surveys (CIS)
were available for all cadets to complete online. 158 cadet
responses to the CIS and 136 cadet responses to the IMMS were recorded. |

format. New additions include links to the strategies themselves
as well as instructor-specific pages which are being added regularly. |
